What to do in an emergency

In the case of an emergency, please call our usual number, 028 70343425 and you will be automatically directed to the vet on call.

Please note: An out-of-hours Small Animal consultation fee payable at the time of consultation will be charged. Please see ‘How much does it cost’ for current price.

Do you do house visits?

Normally the clinic does not carry out house visits.

What times are out-of-hours emergencies?

The after-hours service runs from:

  • 6:00pm to 8:30am weekdays
  • 1:00pm on Saturday through to 8:30am on Monday

Who are the Out of Hours vets?

Out of hours emergency care is provided on a shared on-call rota between 3 practices in the local area – Coleraine Veterinary Practice, Knockanboy Veterinary Clinic and Millburn Veterinary Practice.

How much does it cost?

The fees for the out of hours examination is £170 + treatment (in some cases, a nurse may be required and this is an additional cost of £50)
