Meet The Staff at Coleraine Veterinary Practice
Martin Mckee MRCVS:
Graduating from the Royal Dick Veterinary College, Edinburgh in 1990, Martin worked in Wrexham for 5 yeasr. He then Coleraine Veterinary Practice in November 1995 at its previous premises on the Mountsandel Road. In 1996 he became a partner in the practice and is now the sole proprietor. Martin has a special interest in all aspects of Large Animal veterinary work.
Kate Alcorn MRCVS:
Kate graduated from the University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 1985. She joined our practice in 1989 as a small animal vet. Kate has an extensive knowledge of small animal medicine and surgery. Away from work, Kate is an enthusiastic horse owner and often competes in cross- country events. She has also recently taken up running, and has just completed her first 10km run!
David Harding MRCVS:
David graduated from the Royal Dick Veterinary College, Edinburgh in 1983. After working for a short while in his home town in Scotland, he came to Coleraine in January 1984. David was a partner in the practice from 1989 to 2009. At this time David took a short career break and rejoined the practice in 2012. David was veterinary advisor to the USPCA for a number of years and served on the council of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for 8 years. He currently sits on the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Disciplinary Committee.

RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse:
Richard joined the practice in 2007. He has recently passed the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Nursing exam and is now fully registered. Recently has been heavily involved in driving forward our expanding nurse clinic and advisory service. When he's not in work, Richard spends his free time caring for his animals (dogs, cats, ponies and hens!) and also works closely with the local re-homing centre, BARK.
Gillian joined us in 2007 and completed her training as an Animal Nursing Assistant in 2008. Gillian has a real soft spot for puppies and has a much pampered Bichon at home. She is our local school liason officer and she has recently purchased another 2 guinea pigs for her kids at home!
Yvonne joined the practice in 2000 as a receptionist, and became practice manager in 2008. Yvonne has 1 dog, 2 cats, 1 gerbil and 2 guinea pigs and loves meeting and greeting the 'small furries' and exotic pets that visit us! One of her cats has just been awarded the title of 'Outstanding Rescue Cat' at the National Cat Awards in London.
Deborah joined as a part time receptionist in 2003 and has since increased both her hours and her work load becoming office manager in 2010. Outside work Deborah enjoys baking and has recently taken up cycling. She has 4 cats.
